Manage Admin Access and Roles for Profiles

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Admin users can be granted or removed from portal access at any time. Their assigned role determines what parts of the system they can view or manage — but access and roles are managed separately. A profile can exist without portal access, and portal access can exist without a role (though the admin won’t be able to do much without one).

Use this process to adjust a staff member’s permissions as responsibilities change, or to revoke access for those transitioning out of the housing system.

Manage Access on an Existing Profile

Locate the admin profile in the Profiles section of the Admin Portal.

Locate the Actions column of the data table.

Click the upright ⋮ (three-dots icon) in the profile row to open admin actions.

From this menu, you can grant or revoke admin portal access. You can also add or remove an admin role from the same menu.

Assigned roles can be located on the Profiles data table.

Note: Granting admin portal access does not automatically assign a role — this must be done through a separate action.

Revoking admin portal access will automatically remove any assigned roles tied to the admin portal.

Admin roles can be added and revoked freely without impacting direct portal access.

Add or Remove Admin Portal Access from a Profile Directly

Navigate to the profile and click ⋯ (three-dots icon) to open profile options.

Select Revoke or Grant Admin Portal Access.

Admin profiles will display an 🗝 admin label on their profile, making it easy to differentiate them from non-admin users.

Create Admin Profiles

To give a new staff member access to the admin portal, you’ll first need to create an admin profile. This creates their user account, allows them to log in, and enables you to assign an admin role.
