How to Block/Reserve Inventory

At any point in time, an Admin User my block/reserve any piece of inventory for any reason. In order to do so, please follow the steps below:

 

Notes:

  • A status that is applied at a particular level, will affect all levels below it
    • E.g. If you block a room, then that room and its two beds will be blocked
  • If you are attempting to reserve a piece of inventory for an upcoming Housing Cycle, you must ensure that the state and end dates of the status encompass the start and end dates of said Housing.Cycle
  • A piece of Inventory may only have one status at a time
  • You cannot update the status of a Building
  • At any point in time, you may unblock a piece of Inventory

 

Steps

1. Locate the piece of Inventory in question and navigate to the details page

2. Click "Block." If the button says "Unblock" then there is already a "Block" on said piece of Inventory

3. Select which status type you would like to create

4. Select the start date and the end date

Tip: If you are reserving a piece of inventory for an upcoming Housing Cycle, please ensure the start and end dates encompass the start and end dates of said Cycle

5. Click "Housing.cloud — Private Browsing"

6. Enter in the reason for the status change

7. Click "Block"
