Preview a Form
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Navigate to the form you want to preview and click Preview from the options on the right side of the screen.

The form preview replicates how the form will appear to students, initially displaying the form without any tags assigned.

Note: Tools like profile and application tags are available to simulate the student experience in the admin portal but will not be visible to students in the Resident Portal.
Profile Tags in Form Preview
Click + Add Profile Tag to simulate the experience for students with specific profile tags.

Select the profile tag to add it to the preview.

Profile tags may trigger your created conditional questions based on the assigned tags during your set-up.

Example: When the Gender: Female profile tag is added in Form Preview, a conditional question appears offering female-only residence hall options. If the tag is removed, the question disappears, ensuring the form adapts based on the assigned tags.
Click the x icon on a tag to remove it from the preview. Conditional questions associated with this tag will no longer appear unless the tag is re-added.

Application Tags in Form Preview
Tags that will be assigned during form completion will display under Assigned Tags.

11. Assigned tags will indicate the specific question they originated from and can trigger conditional questions during preview

12. Example: Selecting Graduate as an answer during the application assigns the Graduate tag and displays a follow-up question: "Graduate Students: Are you planning on being enrolled as a full-time student?”
Any tags assigned during the form completion will continue to display under Assigned tags throughout the preview.

Example: If No is selected, the Part-Time Graduate tag is added, and a notice appears with important details for part-time students. This allows the form to adjust dynamically based on student responses.
Exit Form Preview
To exit the preview, click Exit Preview.

Alternatively, you can complete the form as though you were a student.

Once finished, the system will not submit the form as it would for a student. Instead, you’ll be prompted to click Confirm and exit the form preview. Responses submitted during a form preview are not recorded.
