Transact: Rapid Checkout API

Housing.Cloud is capable of integrating with Transact's Rapid Checkout product to allow Institutions to charge residents directly during the housing application process.

 

Setup

  1. The Institution will provide the following credentials:
    1. API Key
    2. Merchant Code
  2. A Housing.Cloud member will configure the integration for the particular environment
    1. Note: Housing.Cloud will need separate credentials for sandbox and production environments
  3. The Institution's Housing Administrator will then be able to Configure Housing Cycle Fees

Technical Configurations

  • It is the responsibility of Transact to push back transaction information to the Institution's Student Information System
  • Housing.Cloud will always pass the sisId as the customer.id when initiating a new Transact Payment Session
  • Housing.Cloud is also capable of passing the following data points as merchantReferences
    • Academic Term: This will be the Cycle'sexternalTermCode
    • Full Name
    • Email Address: We will utilize the .edu email address if one exists in Housing.Cloud
