Allowlist Email IPs and Links
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Housing.Cloud sends system emails — account confirmations, administrative messages, and resident notifications — through SendGrid, from a set of static IP addresses. Allowlisting those IPs and our domain helps your email security tools deliver these reliably and keeps deep-links intact.
Why It Matters
Some email security systems (Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Google Workspace, and gateways like Mimecast or Proofpoint) may flag messages as external, quarantine or delay them, or rewrite and scan links (e.g. Microsoft Safe Links). Because Housing.Cloud links often carry identifiers that route a user to a specific area of the portal, link rewriting can occasionally send them to the general site instead of their intended destination. Allowlisting prevents that.

Domains to Allowlist
housing.cloud- Any subdomains used by your institution (e.g.
yourschool.housing.cloud)
Apply allowlisting in a scoped, controlled way in line with your institution's security policy — the goal is to reduce false positives and preserve link functionality, not to bypass standard protections. If links are still being modified by a third-party tracking tool, some additional configuration may be needed.
